Parking at Miami International Airport

Leaving a car at Miami International Airport is simple enough. The choices are wide: two main garages, a short-term lot, a budget option, valet service, and set-aside pick-up zones all feature. Weigh up your terminal, your budget, and how long you'll be away, and the right Miami airport parking choice tends to sort itself out.

Our Tip: Passenger numbers shot up in 2022, so spaces can run short, above all from Thursday through Saturday. Fresh facilities are already in the pipeline to ease the squeeze.

Miami Airport Parking Lots

Two structures do the heavy lifting: the Dolphin Garage and the Flamingo Garage. Both stand inside the curve of the U-shaped terminal complex, an easy walk from the entrances.

  • Dolphin Garage (North Parking): Best for passengers departing from Concourse D (North Terminal) and Concourse E (Central Terminal). Recommended for travelers flying with American Airlines, British Airways, JetBlue, and Qatar Airways.
  • Flamingo Garage (South Parking): Ideal for passengers flying from Concourses E–J (Central and South Terminals) with other airlines.

Combined, the pair offer roughly 7,500 spaces and run an electronic guidance system, where green lights flag an open bay and red ones mark a full row.

Our Tip 1: A two-story short-term lot sits right in front of Concourse E, handy for a quick dash into the airport.

Our Tip 2: Oversized vehicle parking is available on the east side of the Dolphin Garage.

Valet Parking Services at Miami International Airport

If you'd rather skip the search for a space, MIA runs a valet service. Pull up, pass your keys to the staff, and your car gets parked safely on your behalf.

  • Valet drop-off and pick-up locations are on Level 2 (Departures level)
  • Available at both Dolphin and Flamingo Garages

Cheap Miami Airport Parking

For the lowest price, head to the MIA Economy Park & Ride Lot. It sits about 6 minutes from the terminals at 1350 N.W. 45th Avenue, linked in by free shuttle buses that run every 15 minutes.

Those shuttles set passengers down on the Departures level across from Doors 3, 11, and 26.
