ITA Airways at Miami International Airport (MIA) uses the South Terminal, Concourse H. As Italy's flag carrier links Miami with Rome, its check-in, security, gates and baggage claim are all on the South Terminal side, so once you know the concourse the airport is easy to navigate. Current for 2026.

Check-in and bag drop
Check in for ITA Airways on the upper (Departures) level of the South Terminal, where you will find staffed counters, self-service kiosks and bag drop serving Concourse H. As a rule of thumb, arrive about 3 hours before an international departure from MIA, as check-in and security can be busy at peak banks.
Concourse H and your gate
ITA Airways departs from gates in Concourse H, part of MIA's South Terminal. Miami International is one connected building shaped like a horseshoe, with moving walkways throughout and an airside skytrain in the North Terminal to help you cover the distance. Gate assignments can change on the day, so always confirm yours on the airport screens.
Security and arrivals
Security checkpoints serve each terminal, and TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes are available at MIA. On arrival, ITA Airways international flights clear Federal Inspection — passport control and customs first, then you collect your bags at the South Terminal carousels on the lower level. Rideshare, taxis and the free MIA Mover to the rental-car centre and Metrorail are all reached from there.
Getting to and around the South Terminal
Coming from the Miami Intermodal Center (rental cars and Metrorail), ride the free MIA Mover to the terminal, then follow signs to the South Terminal and Concourse H. For the full layout and how the concourses connect, see our Miami airport terminals guide and our Miami Airport guide.
Flying a different airline?
Terminals at MIA are split by airline, so it pays to check before you go. See airlines at Miami Airport for the terminal and concourse your carrier uses, or jump to live departures and arrivals.
Terminal, concourse and gate assignments can change. Confirm with ITA Airways or Miami International Airport before you travel. Correct as of 2026.
